Good book for daily practice.When choosing a math workbook, I’m usually looking for one simple thing: each topic is represented by a large amount of exercises. The “large” is extremely important as in math, like in many other fields of study, “repetition is the path to mastery”. Having tried numerous books, I can definitely say that this one (actually these two Part I and Part II) deserves a place on my table. The book is well organized and covers all material required for the 3rd grade Common Core. The multiple choice questions (Part I) contain fairly large amount of word problems, which is big part of CC, and the free response part (Part II) does have some challenging questions. What I like the most is its reasonably-sized daily exercises, which, if done daily, definitely improve results.

Great idea and content but needs better editingThe book if very organized and the questions are good, however, we are not even one third though and already have seen questions asked with bad grammar ("which of the FOLLOW statements is true"), and also some questions that have the wrong answer as the correct one. I know how to round myself, but we also have a teacher as a tutor so, I'm not making a mistake, the book is wrong. So great idea if the kid is working with an adult that can indicate where the book is wrong, otherwise maybe find something else.

Great!Great overall. Right on track with the N.C. curriculum and I would imagine most State curriculums. Some of the questions were confusing specifically on the rounding portions.

Ok... but make sure to check the answers... the ones in key are not akways right.The book is ok for getting use to this style of learning and test taking. However, there have been a couple of times where the answers given (in the back of the book for each lesson) were wrong. Hopefully, parents know Math concepts themselves. Lol
