4th Grade Common Core Math: Daily Practice Workbook Part II: Free Response

Great for H. W.Love answer key. Mon. -Fri daily practice. I use it for homework. I make packets on Wed or Thursday and hand it to my students in Friday. Part one is awesome. I am finished with that one book which is multiple choice and am very happy that there is a part two. I was a little nervous about the open response but know they are ready for this at the end of the year and it should push my students to use their knowledge and not just circle any answer.

Great book for everyday practice.The Free Response book is similar to the Multiple Choice book in terms of formatting except (obviously) all the questions are free response related. Once again the video explanations are super useful and there are lots of problems to practice with. I did notice the workbook puts more emphasis on fractions which is very good because to my understanding the state exam tests a little more heavy on fractions. As written in my previous review for the multiple choice book, i would recommend this book as well. They go hand in hand and gives adequate practice questions that covers the different standards students will learn over the entire year. Common Core- Eek!

Good online tutorialsAt a first glance, this book looked like any other "a practice problem a day" book. However, the online resources make all the difference. I have included a screen shot of a lesson. The problems are well explained and I like the little tips at the top of each page. I also like the 'chat' option available, where you can get help in real time with additional explanation or questions. It is not a practice drills book, but mostly to introduce ways to understand and solve problems.

Great for daily reviewReally good workbook for daily practice. I think it is helpful to that the daily assignment are clearly marked. There are not too long and don’t take a lot of time out of the day. There is also a website with helpful videos that explain math operations. We were very satisfied with the product.

Best!!!One of my favorite publishers for math workbooks for students. I have many of their books and have been consistently pleased with the quality and number of resources they provide. The workbooks include more than enough practice problems for your child to work through during the school year and the book comes along with their online website access. To my knowledge, all of their workbooks come with video explanations on their website. Some instructor reviews question by question making this an essential workbook to have for all parents and teachers. As a parent who has used their books for my kids and continue to do so, I highly recommend this brand.

Great practice resource that follows school curriculum!This book is great! It follows my 4th graders math curriculum and gives diverse practice problems that she can do independently after they have worked them in school. I like the progression of the types of problems so we can go in order of the book.
