My child really enjoys the lessons in this workbookI got her the 3rd grade version & she really enjoyed the lessons & format so much. She requested 4rth grade version. The lessons are very grade appropriate & my child had no problem going through the lessons. As a parent I am very happy with this workbook as well.

Not bad; Not greatI was debating between three workbooks for next school year (yes, already). It's hard for me to find something that will keep the attention/interest of my kiddo. I chose this one because of the topics covered, it has video explanations, twenty weeks is perfect for our schedule, AND it covers all subjects I needed it to. I also chose this one based on a review and the video example on the description page that showed it in color during a flip through. Why only 3 stars? *The workbook is NOT in color. Drab black and white. False advertising. *It does come with a link to video explanations either on an app for phones or tablets or a website for a computer. I previewed a few and they are simply a woman reading the pages and answering the questions for the student. The few I watched were about 2-4 minutes long, each. It doesn't contain any additional information aside from the occasional notes she'll jot on the screen (with some misspellings). The videos don't allow time for the student to try to answer on their own before giving the answers and at one point, she tells the student to look at the answer key in the back of the book. Not something I want my kiddo to get in the habit of unless it's to check completed work. I may try to rip those pages out so I am aware when he uses them. Which won't be easy because the pages are not perforated. *Also, note, this is a practice workbook, nothing more. I wish there was more to the "connect to your life" writing/analyzing as the other two workbooks I decided against had. That type of thinking is what hooks my kiddo (and many others). Upon my initial flip through, "Day 4" is "experiencing the topic", which is great intentions, but in my opinion is poorly executed. Many of those exercises are short, asking just one question. Some Day 4s don't make a connection at all but instead contain a few paragraphs to read over followed by a couple comprehension questions or charts to fill in. I feel more could have/should have been done here. I DO like: how each topic builds on itself. The workbook has a new topic each week (20 total) and each week has a couple pages per day (labeled day 1-5). Easy to follow for open and go practice that can be done - more or less- independently. The reading passages are about 2-3 paragraphs and writing is short enough we can customize the workbook to do multiple days work within the hour block we have set aside for the subject. The short practice pages will also be helpful for short attention spans. If you're looking for a simple practice/supplementary workbook, this is a good book. If you're hoping for a little bit more, you will be disappointed.
Social studies book love itI homeschool my children and this is one of the best history books.
4th grade workbookWe use this for homeschool and it comes with videos for the students. The answers are also on the video so you do have to pause it if you are using the video for their work.
Great book.I love the book and info. Although, it did not have the colored pages on the inside as advertised. Some questions tell you to look at the colors, but it is all black and white.
