Perfect WITH the flaws, not despite them. - Homeschool familyWe use this as our MAIN HOMESCHOOL MATH CURRICULUM Pros: - Graph paper design and small edge doodles means we aren't staring at just words on a blank page. It keeps the pages from being daunting. - doodles!! Yeah I listed it above but... DOODLES! Gives my ADHD kiddo something to color in while he thinks, or me something to color while helping him and waiting for him to find a solution. We do math in colored gel pens now. - word problems - real life math rarely just gives us the numbers. Usually it's a word problem and we need to figure out the information needed. This workbook focuses on those concepts. - good 1-2 pages of teaching each concept at the beginning of each section. Well written and explained. We add in YouTube videos when we want further explanations but typically the workbooks one is sufficient. - not overwhelming - usually 3-4 problems on a page. - price - obviously curriculums are expensive so finding a workbook that has such a great layout and that has well written explanations that I can use for a curriculum is wonderful. PRO: AgroPREP is NOT always correct. Every once in a while the (multiple choice) word problem seems to have two correct answers, or none. Weirdly I actually prefer this... in real life we aren't always given the answer. Sometimes we need more information. This gives us chances to realize there are more than one was of viewing a problem and decide which makes the most sense or what information we would need. Con: okay, not all problems are correct. Personally I find this a HUGE pro, much better for future math understanding. If this isn't something you see as a pro though it's a workbook to avoid. Personally I bought the next few workbooks in case they fix the errors, I don't want my kids handed the answers or even all the information for every single problem. It's nice to have them get challenged a little differently every once in awhile. Sometimes life doesn't give us all the answers and we need to find multiple or ask for more information. Suggestion to AgroPREP: instead of fixing the workbook to the correct answers for the problems with errors - put a key in the back with the information that would be needed to get the correct solution. That way the kids can practice not always being handed the answers but the parents can be satisfied the workbook isn't incorrect.

Great 4th Grade Math Book!I purchased this book for my granddaughter and it's a great resource for added math instruction. I brought the 3rd Grade book by Argo and I love that kids can access the online teacher giving a example of every problem in the book. Great for referencing after completeing each problem or section. Kids can see where they went wrong or what they did right. Parents can check the progress of their student online and the sections that have been completed. Answers are also provided in the back of the book. I highly recommend the whole series and plan to purchase Grade 5 next year.

Good but has errorsGood book for extra math practice. The work is sufficiently challenging for an advanced third grader entering fourth. However, four stars because some of the questions have errors which can be frustrating for a child who doesn’t know when they are struggling legitimately or struggling because the question cannot be answered as written.

Smartly written for smart kidsI bought this for my 8 year old who will be entering the 4th grade. We want to prevent the summer regression. We have just gotten started on the workbook but so far he seems to like the book. Something about the illustrations and the appearance of pages in graph paper appeals to him. The book presents material in a different perspective than his actual school books which helps solidify his understanding of concepts. It’s a simple yet well written book. And the video explanations help too.

Fantastic Online ExplanationsThe best thing about this book is that there are free online explanations of each question. This makes it easy for my child to figure out how to do a problem.

Access to answers and educational tools onlineVery detailed book at times a little too difficult. They do however offer support at far as videos online with the option to purchase a membership that offers more tutorials
