Introducing Math! Grade 6 By Argoprep: 600+ Practice Questions

Worth it- a great refresherI bought this for my 6th grade daughter the day I found out her school was cancelled due to the virus. It arrived in decent timing. We do a chapter a day (along with several other books). It's definitely worth it, the answers are in the back of the book. Nice to have and every day practice for your child will keep their mind sharp.

Fun doodles with simple to understand lessonsI’ve used many workbooks in the past from various companies. Each summer I go through the upcoming year’s curriculum with my child. She is heading to the 6th grade this fall and cannot recommend this series of workbooks enough. First of all, the illustrations are fun, drawing attention to the pages. Mazes and coloring sections are sprinkled throughout to give mini breaks. Sometimes we will doodle and add silly things to the pictures. For a 6th grade workbook to have this type of playfulness is rare. Another thing I really appreciate are the explanations before each topic. It is short and easy to comprehend. I was looking for workbooks just like this and not pages upon pages of math problems. Lastly, and I don’t understand why some reviews have complained about this, are the answer keys. I’ve always hated ripping out the answer sheets to avoid (1) my child looking at it, (2) having to flip back and forth, and (3) just endless black and white answers that are mind boggling hard to find. I think scanning the QR code and going through the answers online is way more efficient. Plus it’s in color! My daughter finished the entire book in one week, not because it’s a small book (it’s not!) but because it was actually enjoyable and well planned out. One minor thing is, while almost all the answers were explained, a few weren’t. Also the chapter on line plots/box plots, they didn’t explain what histograms are yet there were a few questions on it. That said, from my 5-6 years of dealing with workbooks, this is by far on top.

Awesome math workbook!Both of my girls (one going into 6th grade and one going into 7th grade) love this book. They love having the lesson and then the practice afterwards. The lesson really helps them understand how to complete the lesson. The both participated in distance learning because of COVID-19 and I was afraid they didn't get what they needed from that so I was hoping this book would help them fill in the gaps. im very happy with this book and think it will help them a lot.

Cannot Get Answer KeyThis book has worked fine other than not being able to get the answer key. It says they removed the answer key from the book and put online per parents requests. But, when I go online to try to download it, it keeps generating the sign on page. I have created an account, tried both an apple and an android product to do it on, and read through the reviews for help. It seems this is an ongoing issue. Would not have purchased if I had known the answer key would not be available. It is extremely frustrating. For future buyers just beware the answer key is not included and it seems the option to download it doesn't work. I am able to help with a lot of the questions, but some I am not sure how to do or I don't understand what is being asked. So the answer key is extremely beneficial to have. I think this company needs to put the answer key back in the book if they aren't able to supply it online.

Unhappy with this book!I'm honestly surprised this book has so many good reviews. I bought this one and the 3rd grade one and returned them a few days later. Everywhere I looked it shows colored pages, even on the back of the book, however it is all black and white. That was my first disappointment but I decided I could over look that. The pages definitely don't look as fun in black and white though. I was going to have my kids do a few pages because we are trying to ease into homeschooling. I sat down with my daughter, who needs more help than my son in math, and there was a huge math mistake on the first page of the 3rd grade book!!! Unacceptable for a math book! It is explaining that 3x2 is like three groups of two. Then it asks what 8x4 equals. It shows a picture of four groups of four and says if you could the squares you'll see that it equals 16!!! Not going to look through the books anymore after that. I don't need a math books filled with mistakes.

The content is good but accessing answer key is pain (9/2/22)I have been using argo math for my kids. Recently, the answer key is removed from the book and it is only accessible from the website. The problem is it is not possible to get it. The site keeps asking me to type ID and password but it does not work. I sent a request to Argo and I am still waiting the response. For now, I need to find answers myself for my kid. Update: 9/2/22. Argo rep provided me the pdf file of the answerkey and the issue is now resolved.
